The development of  JW Marriott Maldives, Gaakoshibee Island Resort, ADK Travels

ADK Travel Pvt. Ltd a subsidiary of ADK group of companies was formed in 2004 with the objective of making inroads in the successful tourism industry in the Maldives. The Company is in the business of acquiring through purchase or lease, resort properties and islands designated for the development of resorts by the government.

ADK Travels has acquired the island of Gaakoshibee in Shaviyani Atoll in 2006 for a period of 35 years. The company is in the process of developing a 100 room full service international luxury five star resort property on the island.

The island of Gaakoshibee in the north of the Maldives offers the ideal environment; white sands, crystal clear lagoons with magical shades of blue, a house reef full of soft and hard corals and a myriad of marine life. Planned for opening in end 2008, the 18 hectare Gaakoshibee Island Retreat is a short 55 minute seaplane journey from Malé International Airport.
